As the title says, here is the fully assembled Norman Army (minus 2 horses). Currently set up in 3 divisions representing how William the Conquer had his army arranged at Hastings.

Women and Children First pt2
Here are the 2nd batch of Dark Age civilians I have finished. 28mm. All are from Gripping Beast but the taller one with the broom which is from Reaper Miniature. I tried to add a bit more details to the clothing.

Women and Children First
Taking a brake from testing my painting skills and from working on line units, I decided to work on my Anglo-Saxon civilians. They wont feature much in the big battles but can add lost of flavor to the skirmish games I have been playing with my son. First I painted the young children and two adult women holding children. All of them are from Gripping Beast except the redhead who is from Reaper Miniatures.
Anglo-Saxon Houses
Finished 4 Anglo-Saxon houses that I 3d Printed over 2 years ago. I believe they are all from https://www.3dprintterrain.de/collections/medieval. I wanted them to be a bit colorful instead of all the same boring shade so they are a bit more vibrant then might be historically accurate. Still they will look good on the table and hopefully wont get burnt down to often.

Anglo-Saxon Housecarls
Finished a unit of Victrix Anglo-Saxons with Dane Axes. Still need to add the flag but they are otherwise table ready. This brings me up to 2 full divisions for Hail Creaser with 1 more to go. There are only 2 units of Housecarls in the army as part of the Kings division and both are armed with Dane Axes. I tried a bit of a speed paint on these so the paint job is not quite as clean or detailed as I normally do. I only have 4 units of formed infantry, 1.5 units of skirmishers, and 2 command bases left to do. Army total will be 231 models when completed.

More Hascarls
More progress on my Anglo-Saxons. These were my original Huscarls for SAGA that I just finished re-basing to fit in unit trays for larger games. I had to finish painting 3 of them and add 4 more to bring them up to strength, but really happy with end result. All that's missing is their flags. Now I know the keen eyed historians among you will notice they don't look quite like Anglo-Saxons. That is because they are sold as late Romano-British and I repurposed them.

Javelins
Well the Garage has been finished and the entirety of my 20 years of wargaming collection has moved into it. We set up a projector and let the boys watch a movie last night while I painted. While the following were painted in 2021 I finished the basing last night so they will be the first finished minis of 2022.
Working again on my Anglo-Saxon army here are 2 units of skirmishers. They are armed with Javelins. Bows were in small numbers on the Saxon side so most skirmishers would have been armed with slings or javelins. Based off what I had available I'll be doing 3 units of javelins and 2 of bows. The movement tray is from Litko and the models are from Wargames Factory. They are the worst plastic models on the planet but I did my best to get the most out of them. As such I couldn't be bothered to give them more then a basic paint job and wash. Fortunately the Little Big Men transfers just fit and help them look a bit better.
While primarily for Hail Creaser, I chose to go with 6 models per unit. This number will work well for other games like SAGA where Levey are in groups of 12.
