More 3D Printed terrain.

Continuing to work on Printer quality and start some new projects.

4 Grounds WW1 Terrain

One of the Black Friday deals I took advantage of was a sale at 4 Grounds. Got their Eastern European collection and a Ruined House for use in my WW1 games. Never had much terrain for that theater but with 2 respectable armies I thought it was about time.

The largest of the 3. Nice thing about all of them is the exterior doors all work.

The roof is not quite done. I need to go over it with some watered down PVA glue and put the chimney on.

And finally the ruined house, just to add a feeling of combat to the battle field.

3D printed islands and Pirates game

I'm finally getting consistently acceptable prints. Printed 4 islands I found on Thinggivers for free and painted them up. Very happy with end products. Also used them in a club game of Pirates by Wizkidz Games.

Here are some shots from the game. Despite the games name, our's featured 2 squadrons of English and French ships.

Here are some of the original islands that came with the game. They still work fine but its nice to have something a bit nicer to look at.

3D prints

I recently got a WANHAO Duplicator i3 Plus MkII 3D printer with the intent of printing terrain items for my games. This would allow me to make items while still spending time with family since time is at a premium right now.
I love the printer but as I am totally new to it I am having a large number of failed prints between each success. The learning curve is pretty steep but fortunately the facebook community is amazing.

I thought you all would like to see my first two real successes. The files for both where purchased from Printable Scenery and I am really happy with their products and prices.

First up a cave crawler which was a free file. I should have added a 28mm model next to it cause it stands well over 30mm. Would make a great purple wurm.

2nd is a long boat which I have already painted and plan to use in my FIW and Pirate games. I can fit about 10-12 28mm models with out problems (depending on base sizes). I'm going to be printing a small fleet of these once the printer is dialed in.

Pro-Russian Separatists

Finished up a large batch of Pro-Russian Separatists in Russian style GorTex. This almost doubles the total number of infantry for the Separatist side. These are all from my favorite 20mm store Elhiem Miniatures. These suites have been seen regularly in the conflict in Ukraine so I painted the vests in the Russian style and their weapons to resemble more modern equipment. This is to simulate the "sponsorship" these guys are receiving.
 22 infantry in all added.

 2 with under-slung grenade launchers.

 2 with LMGs

 6 More RPGs.

 5 with SMGs

 4 with normal Assault Rifles

These 3 I painted as distinguishable characters.

BattleTeach Alpha Strike 2nd Lance

I have finished my 2nd Battle Lance. This one I painted in a Martien inspired cammo pattern. I plan on painting up two separate factions. They will be rival members of the same Minor House which is facing a succession conflict and all located in the same Solar System. This faction is from a Mars like desert world. While void of most native life it is extremely rich mineral deposits and has a large amount of financial power. The other faction is based on a planet rich in plant and animal life and the House's ancestral seat and has great political power.
